  • Sun tan is a very common problem during hot summer. If you don’t take enough care from UV rays, you would end up with different shades of darkness at the end of the summer.  Here are some quick home remedies.

    Lemon and Aloe Vera Method:

This method can be used as a bleaching agent to protect your skin. Take some lemon juice and mash the aloe vera leaves. Mix them properly to make a paste. Apply this onto the tanned area of the skin and let it dry. You need to apply this paste twice or thrice a day to cleanse and prevent your skin from getting tanned from time-to-time.

Turmeric Powder, Yogurt and Honey Method:

Take 1 tbsp turmeric powder and half cup yogurt and mix 1 tbsp honey in it. Make a thick paste by mixing all three ingredients well. Apply this mixture on the dried skin and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Later, rinse it off with cold water. This would help in moisturizing your skin.

    Tomato and Lemon Juice Method:

Take some grated tomato and lime juice. Blend them together to make a juicy paste. Apply this on the tanned area for 20 minutes, let it get dried and wash off with cold water. This works well for lightening the skin. Continue this treatment for 15 days for best results.

    Sandal wood and Rosewater Method:

Sandal wood is enriched with benefits, especially when it comes in accomplishing a fairer skin.
Make a thick paste of sandal wood powder and rosewater and apply it to face. Wait for 20 minutes and allow it to dry. After this wash it with cold water. This paste relieves you from sun burns and other sun tan effects.

    Potato Method:

Potato has natural bleaching properties which can help lighten the tan. Take a potato and peel it off and then grate it. Now add some rose water to it. Apply this mixture on your face for at least 15 minutes and then wash off with water.
